Supernova Edition Released
☀ S U P E R N O V A ☀
Today a new edition of Elder Dice goes supernova on the Infinite Black shop. The Supernova editions are our alternate colors for the three primary symbols of eldritch lore from our Colors out of Space Kickstarter - The Seal of Yog-Sothoth, The Star of Azathoth, and the Eye of Chaos. This edition is BRIGHT, featuring white paint for the symbols and a translucent resin mix with subtle, swirling smoke curls of pearlescent color. Each polyhedral set comes in the spellbook box and has nine dice: 1d4, 3d6, 1d8, 1d10, 1d%, 1d12, and a d20.
Let's take a closer look.
The Seal of Yog-Sothoth
The supernova Yog-Sothoth dice have swirls of ruby and turquoise that shimmer in the light. The symbols and numbers are in white paint. It is difficult to capture transparent dice in photos because to truly see the effects at play you have to look close and move them in the light. These dice let so much light in that you get exciting hot spots of reflectivity and shimmer even when not under bright lights. In some of them, the clear and pearlescent colors mix so subtly that it is ghostly. As with all our dice, we want them to be different than what you might could find elsewhere, and these are no exception. These are some of the most unusual dice we've created (in a good way-- we like weird stuff).
The Eye of Chaos
The supernova Eye of Chaos have a hues of what I'd call an electric blue and a sky blue, wisping together strangely and frozen in time within. They look really fantastic with the white numbering. Just like the other supernova sets, the colors are pearlescent and filter and reflect the light in interesting ways. If you collect blue dice, these are the ones for you.
The Star of Azathoth
My personal favorite of the supernova, the Star of Azathoth are like light infused nebulas of cotton candy pink and a orchid violet. When I look into these and turn them in the light, I get lost in a way that probably says something about me... It's like gazing into the pink atmosphere of a distant world. Honestly, the more I look at them the more I like them. I am also proud to say that I used them for a tabletop game and my first roll on the d20 was a crit, so there ya go. Gotta keep using them now.
How long will they be available?
The batch of supernova Elder Dice was planned and produced after the Colors out of Space Kickstarter and was created in a more limited supply than the original series with the same symbols. We plan on keeping them available on the Infinite Black store for as long as we can.
Thanks for reading.
