The Colors Are Here

Greetings mortals,

This week the three new symbols produced during the Colors out of Space Kickstarter are now live on InfiniteBlack.net for direct purchase. We've got polyhedral sets. We've got d6 tubes. We've even got some d10 tubes. I know some of you have been asking about these d10 tubes for a while because a certain game needs loads of them.

The Seal of Yog-Sothoth is a mysterious, cryptic symbol found scrolled in the margins of books dedicated to the most extreme aspects of the occult.
This Yog-Sothoth symbol was designed by David LaRocca as a unique interpretation of Yog-Sothoth, which is often depicted as a formless, gurgling mass of eyeballs. David wanted to give Yog-Sothoth a more tangible form. The tentacled skull in the Seal of Yog-Sothoth calls to mind David's art Yog-Sothoth is the Gate.

This is my personal favorite of the new sets. I love that the colors are an alien blend of strange. They truly are representative of an indescribable color, similar to the one NOT described (if you know what I mean) in Lovecraft's The Colour Out of Space.

The Star of Azathoth is an eye-like symbol that suggests the cosmic expansion of the universe from a central source.

The Star of Azathoth is going to be the set that catches the eye of many purple lovers, but look closely and you will see they have eerie clouds of blue and pink within. I honestly don't know what color these are. I really can't decide. The color of the Nebula Azathoth dice remind me of the color you often see depicted in film adaptations of Lovecraft's stories -- an otherworldly, radioactive hue of purple.

The Eye of Chaos, also called the Three-Lobed Eye of Nyarlathotep, is a symbol of primordial havoc and tumult.

The Eye of Chaos set is a close second to my favorite, and I think with time it may unseat it. The more I see these dice, the more and more I appreciate them. At first glance, especially under direct like, your eye may be tricked into thinking these are just ordinary blue dice. But look in a low light setting and you'll see the swirled waves of the sea. I find that the colors in these stand out most when viewed in a low light setting, as if shadows gathering within reveal their true nature. They are really unique and Nyarlathotep would be proud to roll these dice from its hand, or tentacle, or whatever sort of appendage it has.
